The disconnect bug should be resolved with ver 4 of the firmware. And if you have a Gigabit ethernet switch / router. It loads a bit slower, but now allows any of the computers at home to home share the same library instead of having the same movies and TV series on different computers.ġ.
(If you hold down Option button when opening iTunes, it allows you to select a library). What I have done is setup all my computers at home to connect to the shared folder, therefore everyone can access the same iTunes library, video at all. Those work with Home Sharing, which the WD can't do as it is Apple specific. I've been able to listen to the music, but videos etc. The iTunes 'server' on the WD is represented in iTunes as a shared iTunes library.
